BOYCE, Curator of Autograph Manuscripts THE PIERPONT MORGAN LIBRARY1 divides its manuscripts, some-what arbitrarily, into two principal groups, the "Medieval and Renaissance" and the "Autograph." Though neither term correctly de-. J. Pierpont Morgan () was an immensely influential banker and, fortunately for New York City and the nation, a generous philanthropist and collector. The Morgan Library—built between and as a Renaissance-style palazzo—was originally Morgan's private library. The second part of this manuscript is New York, Pierpont Morgan Library, MS M (contents: Book of Hours fragment (ff. ); life of St. Margaret (ff. v)). This part was published by Mme Théophile Belin in a partial facsimile edition of , entitled Les Heures de Marguerite de Beaujeu, but this identification of the patron has. The Morgan expansion project is the subject of a special exhibition that begins with a historical survey of the site from the s through today. The expansion project is represented by drawings, models, and photographs. The exhibition is organized by The Morgan Library & Museum and the Renzo Pi.
